Will Herpes 1 In Anyway Harm My Body After Being Tested Positive?

Question: I have a test result of herpes 1 positive. With a result of 1.2.
Few months ago, I did a full herpes test. The result is herpes 1 @ 1.1.
How come the result will change. What contribute to the change? My doctor told me the blister on my penis is not genital herpes. I am wondering if let say I have a break out from herpes virus and I choose not to take medication and let it heal itself, will it in anyway harm my body?
And also I learned that the virus would be trigger if I have Low immunity and stress. Does that means that when I age in the future. I would have more breakouts? Since elder people tend to have a lower immune system?

Brief Answer:
NO difference between 1.1 and 1.2!
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
There is no difference between these two values. They are well within the error margins of the lab. There is nothing to be worried about at this time.
As we age, we are more prone to frequent breakouts. Well, should that be the case, we always have medications to suppress and make sure your live isn't messed up.
I wish you well and hope this helps. Feel free to follow up with me if need be.

Thanks doctor. So is it true that one will have more outbreak when they age? If I have an outbreak and it doesn’t bothered me can I choose not to take the anti viral medication?
And also is a value of herpes 3.5 better than 1.2. Or it is the same.
Having herpes 1. How will it affect my general health? Will my overall health be compromise? And also what are the chances of it spreading to the eyes, nose and brain.?

Brief Answer:
Herpes is mostly benign
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
For outbreaks, ,herpes has no impact on overall health. Also, the fact that persons are more likely to have outbreaks with age remains a possibility but many people actually don't. If you keep picking on and taking to other areas, then the risk of spread is real. To the brain, pretty rare.
Also, the values depend on the subtype. But the lower, ,,the better for this.

Doctor,
1. Is it also true that it is hard for the virus to spread to other part of the area . For example frm mouth to genital. Cause the body will form immunity against it.?
2. How common is herpes type 1? In term of cold sore and genital? Is it a worrisome condition.
3. For the values, can a test result shows an increase/decrease in the future if I do a retest. I am aware that the virus will be with me forever. What contribute to the decrease in value?

Brief Answer:
See below!
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
1. NO. the body cannot form immunity against it. If that were the case, you will never have it again. However, future breakouts would be less severe because the body has a memory on how to quickly mobliize and address it.
2. Extremely common but outbreaks not too common and mostly in mild degrees.
3. The virus would be there forever. There are no medications that can completely get the virus out of the system. Values can go up and down depending on the disease activity.
I wish you well.
