Question: I have an old back injury that can cause very painful ribs. Will it be okay to use Ibuprofen gel to help ease the pain? I would prefer the gel to tablets. I have a diagnosed heart condition, Ventricular Tachycardia, and environmental allergies. My medication is 240 mg daily of Verapimil Hydrochloride tablets, 10 my daily of Cetirizine Hydrochloride tablets, and 4 Sprays daily of Pirinase nasal spray.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
yes you can use the ibuprofen gel safely. But the gel gives only temporary relief for the chronic pains. You can use the muscle relaxant medication like thiocolchiside and etoricoxib safely with the ventricular tachycardia. But this is prescription available medication.
Do heat fomentation foe 15 to 20 minutes a day which will help to ease the pain . Even physiotherapy will reduce the chronic pain.
