Will My Blood Test For Herpes IgG Be Positive As Well After Testing Positive For HSV-2?
Question: I tested positive for hsv2 after my doctor took a swab of dna to test for the virus. My question is, since I have already tested positive , will that automatically mean my blood test for herpes IgG will test positive as well?
I am trying to determine how long I’ve had this

So just to clarify, there would be no way that I would test positive with dna swab and it wouldn’t show up positive on a blood test as hsv2??
To phrase it differently, a lesion that tests positive for hsv2, would mean that it’s in my blood and it will show up on my blood test as HSA 2 IgG?
