Question: Hello, I'm taking 80 mg geodon at night for schizoeffective disorder, 500 mg depakote ER twice a day for mood stabilization, 20 mg propranolol three times a day for tachycardia, 0.5 mg klonopin in the morning and 1 mg klonopin at night for anxiety, and 50 mg zoloft in the morning for depression. It said on Google that zoloft increases the levels of propranolol so do you think this combination is safe to take? Will my heart rate or blood pressure go too low or will I have an uneven heartbeat?

Brief Answer:
Consultation

Detailed Answer:
Dear,

I like to inform you that the dose of Zoloft is well within limits and the chances of significant drug- drug interaction with propranolol is very low. Similarly the dose of propranolol is too low to cause significant bradycardia.

At the same time to ensure complete safety your doctor will record blood pressure and pulse rate whenever he feels appropriate.

I hope this helps you.
Feel free to write back to me if you have more questions.
Thanks again.
