Will The Intake Of Calcium For Osteoarthritis Have Negative Impact On Kidney Stones?

Currently I am taking one cystone tablet on dialy basis. is this fine or any harm of it.
Clear the kidney stone and check blood and urine calcium level.
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX and welcome to HCM.
As an Urologist, i fully understand your concern.
Why don't you get the stone treated, as it's more than 2 cms in size. Leaving it there, surely affects the kidney and causes urinary infection. It can be treated with Lithotripsy( without surgery), and get the stone out. It's called ESWL.
You should check your blood calcium, phosphorus and uric acid level. Also, 24 hours, urine calcium, phosphorus and uric acid level. If it's high, you should get the stone treated urgently, and tell your doctor about the high calcium level.
Stop taking Cystone, as it's found to be of no effect in most people.
If calcium level is normal, once stone is out, you may start taking calcium tablets.
Maintain drinking 12-15 glasses liquids daily.
Wish you good health.

Can you please also suggest is all above test need to done on fasting?
Regards
XXXX
Fasting not a must.
Detailed Answer:
Hi again.
Fasting not required, XXXXXXX
Urine collection time should be exactly 24 hours. eg, 7a.m.-7a.m.next day.
Don't worry. Usually, it's normal.
But, without confirming, you shouldn't start taking calcium tablets.
You're welcome to contact me with reports.
