Will Vomiting 2 Hours After Medicine Intake Have An Effect?
Question: I have chlamydia. I got The pills to be treated. Took them on Friday. Threw up two hours after.. will I still be cured?
Brief Answer:
should have been absorbed by 2 hours
Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic
Doxycycline or azithromycin are normally used to treat chlamydia. One of these may have been the medication used.
Doxycycline is rapidly absorbed after it has been taken. It reaches almost peak levels by 2 hours.
Azithromycin- the time for the concentration to peak is between 2 to 3 hours.
This means that if either of these was used, most of it if not all , should have been absorbed by the time you vomited.
Your partner would have also needed to be treated.
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
