Question: Woke up 3 weeks ago with pain in middle of my upper abdomen where ribs meet. Lots of pain and vomiting. Had a cat scan without contrast and it showed nothing. My blood pressure was very low. Since then, every time I eat I have diarrhea. Very greenish yellow. No pain other than lowest rub I left is very sore to the touch. I’ve now lost about 10 pounds

Brief Answer:
Gastritis, intestinal infection, costochondritis may be the reasons

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Note the history well and understood your concerns.
Please give additional information for me to assist you better:
Your age and gender please.
Any factors that started the symptoms, or enhance these?
Any consultation with Doctor or investigations?
Any medications?
My thoughts as per the history you have provided are as follows:
Pain in the middle of abdomen where ribs meet can be due to severe gastritis, esophagitis or GERD, also can cause vomiting.
Such problems can cause low blood pressure.
Diarrhea on eating can be due to any inflammatory process going on in intestines.
The commonest cause looks to intestinal infection as the stools are greenish yellow. This needs to be confirmed by tests of stool and blood.
If there is any evidence of an intestinal infection then an appropriate antibiotic, metronidazole can help to control diarrhea.
PPI like Omeprazole and Domperidone can help with gastritis and related problems.

The pain in the lower rib can be due to a condition called costochondritis and a proper anti-inflammatory, local heat application, rubefacient liniment (that cause local warmth and soothing)can help.

I hope this answer helps you.
