PET scan can give some idea about lung lesions.
But exact, better idea can be achieved by HRCT.

I face the problem that I don't want to have radiation done twice. Especially if they are observing the same area- Does Pet Scan of heart show sarcoidosis in the lungs as well as heart at least? I have autoimmune problems-thus inflamation both heart and lungs is what is of primary concern.

I was tolt Pet Scan was a very indepth test and more indepth than CT.

See if you want structure details like interstitial lung disease diagnosis then HRCT is must.
So if you want to rule out Sarcoid related ILD then HRCT is best.
