Would A Heavy Baby At 28th Week Of Pregnancy Remain Large During Birth?

Question: At my 28 week ultrasound my baby weighed a pound heavier than the average 28 week fetus he was 3lbs 5 oz does this mean he will be a large baby at birth
Brief Answer:
Large baby
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns
You had your 28 week ultrasound and they gave an estimated weight of 3lb 5oz. This could mean your child will be a large baby but you must also realize that the weight is an estimate. They are never 100 percent sure what your child will be at birth.
as long as you do not have diabetes there is really nothing you can do about the size of your child at birth. You cross that bridge when it comes. There is no reason to be concerned at this time. The best news is that you child is healthy!
I hope I answered your question. Please contact us again if you have any additional questions
