Would A Urinary Tract Infection Be Caused Due To Different Blood Groups Between Couples?
Question: Would a male, positive blood type, cause his wife, negative blood type, to have urinary tract/bladder infection due to contact during intercourse?
Dear XXXXXXX
Thanks for your query.

Blood Group has nothing to do with passing Sexually Transmitted Disease like Bladder Infection. Also to be noted is the fact that Urinary Tract Infection or Bladder Infection can occur in people who have no Sexually Transmitted Disease. But Urinary Tract Infection or Bladder Infection are more common in sexually active people.
A husband who has Sexually Transmitted Disease, irrespective of his blood group or his wife’s blood group, may (not always) pass his infection to his wife. Vice versa is also true.
Blood Group of husband and wife have an implication in the blood group of their children.
