Would Alcohol Consumption Even Within A Limit While On Tylenol Damage The Liver And The Kidneys?
Question: Hello Doctor,
I have had flue for 4 days 6 weeks days back...so i took paracetamol for 6 days every day 2 tablets(500 MG). And a week after i went for all medical check up and every thing is normal except b12 & D vitamin and same day that i took 1 standard drink of alcohal and took Tylenol (2 tablets) due to aches after flight journey. But a week after i experienced right side pain a for 2 days on sides like external oblique when walking on twisting . And 3 weeks after some kind of un explained dull pain for few seconds left side of external oblique ...side but not contineous and not in sleep. So i was worried that one time of drink(30 ml) and Tylenol caused any thing bad to my organs. I usually never take any pain killers or paracetamol unless prescribed by Physican and i never took tablet pain killer earlier with alcohal. I am panicing after reading google article even one dirnk with tylenol damages liver and kidney due to i am not sleeping . Kindly advice.
Thank You...!

Brief Answer:
No need to worry
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Let me assure you that Tylenol or Acetaminophen is a very safe drug and is widely used. Although it can interact with alcohol, unless you have a major overdose the outcomes are not significant and you need not worry. The right-sided pain could be due to an electrolyte imbalance and taking juicy fruits like citrus fruits should help since they contain plenty of potassium.
Take plenty of water to drink. You do not need to worry otherwise.
Hope I have answered your query.
Thank you.
