Would An Injection Be Given In The Front Or The Back Of The Tooth Before Its Removal?
Question: if you pull a top front tooth do you still put needle in front gum or do you put it in back of mouth? someone told me they no longer put needle in front of your mouth because of pain?
Brief Answer:
yes the injection has to be given in the front teeth region
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
As far as the removal is concerned, for a front tooth removal, we need to give an injection at the level of the canine or premolar in the vestibule, since the nerve which supplies innervation to the front teeth exits from a foramen below the orbit and runs down towards the front teeth. For this reason, the injection has to be given in the front teeth region on both the sides.
I hope I have answered your query.
Take care.
