Would Colon Resection Help Treat Chronic Constipation?
Question: I have had chronic constipation since I'm 11 years old. I always feel sick from it and I wish I could get off of medications for good. I know someone who had their colon resected and he told me he never gets constipated since the surgery. The surgery was for another issue but it happened to also cute his constipation issue as well. I was told after numerous tests that the reason for mine is due to having an extremely slow motility rate. Do you think if I had my colon resected It would cure my chronic constipation?
