Would Low Vitamin D Level And Muscle Pain Be Cured With Medical Treatment?

Question: Hi I just got the blood tests report today and the report shows that my vitamin D levels are quite low. The report shows vitamin D as 20ng/mL .What can I do bring this to normal range? One more point, I do workouts regularly, drink a lot of water but still I get frequent muscle aches or cramps . Is low level of vitamin D responsible for that?

Also as can be seen in the attached report, a few sections in the summary(like Cholesterol, Monocytes, NRBC, RDW) are being marked red. What steps can I take so that I can maintain normal ranges for those?

Brief Answer:
As explained below.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for your query.

I have gone through the details. Yes, vitamin D deficiency can cause cramps and muscle aches. You can take Dvion sachets 60,000 IU weekly once for 12 weeks. You can mix in water or milk.

In your report your cholesterol levels are borderline. That can be due to overweight. I would suggest diet and exercise(lifestyle modifications) will be able to bring it down.

Monocytes and nucleated RBC (NRBC) is not to be worried about. Maybe you had a mild subclinical infection leading to mild derangements.

I hope this answered your query.

One thing I forgot to ask. What time should I take the Dvion sachet and should it be after food or before food?

Once the 12 weeks are over, should I stop the medicine completely?

Brief Answer:
As explained below.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

You can take it after food. After 12 weeks, repeat the test and if needed you can continue or else stop if it is in the normal range.

I hope this answered your query.
