Would My Medication Influence My Blood Test Results And Its Concentration?

Question: My blood test showed 235ng/mL of amphetamine. It showed 4.3 ug/mL of meprobamate. It showed 0.5 ug/mL Carisoprodol. Lastly is showed 63ng/mL of alprazolam. I am prescribed 75 mg of Adderall a day. I am also prescribed 6 350 mg of Soma a day. I am prescribed 4.5 mg of Xanax a day. I don't know what meprobamate is? But I am also prescribed 16 mg of Subutex a day. I have been taking Adderall well about 15 years. I have taken Xanax since 2000 and have come down 1 mg so far. I am titrating down bc I don't want go keep taking this and have to take more bc it bo longer works. I have a great psychiatrist who has helped me titrate down and I am anxiously engaged in yoga, meditation, and therapy. I have taken the Soma and Subutex for about 6 years. I only take my Subutex for pain and break the 8mg in halves. Please tell me what all the numbers convert to ie, 235ng/mL = 60mg...etc. Thank You Doctor.

These metabolites are all consistent with the medications you are currently taking. It is not possible to convert those numbers into milligrams (mg). This simply represent the concentration in the body system and it is greatly influenced by the time since last in take and for how long you have been taking it. These tests are meant to verify that you are for real taking your drugs and not passing them to persons who are drug seeking.

So you cant tell me if those levels correspond with the doses I am prescribed? 1. Adderall:30mg tablets Take 1 30 mg tab in morning, one at noon and half of a 30 mg at 6pm. Equals 75mg daily. 2. Alprazolam: 2mg tablets. Take one in morning, one at 4pm and 1/2 tablet at bedtime. Equals 5mg 3: Soma: 350 mg. Take 4-6 times daily. 4. Subutex 8 mg tablets. Take 2x daily. 5. Meprobamate:? I have no idea what this medication is. So, If I took a blood test at 11pm weigh 135lbs ,am 5'8 would I be in compliance with my prescribed amounts? I asked and was told any physician would know the answer to my question. Respectfully, MKO

Hi,

I know you really want a respond on what these numbers correspond to. I will not want to simply placate you with these. Like I mentioned, these values cannot be directly converted back into actual dosages without some fine tuned evaluation. I will not want to give simple assumptions here.

The goal of this test is different and would be wrong to try to transpose these results into actual dosages consumed. I know this is certainly what you don't want but I wouldn't want to overlook the reliability and validity of what I tell you.
