Brief Answer:
Vaccination protects
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query.
Vaccination is very protective but its not 100%.
After vaccination their report will be positive for IgG (anti HBsAg) due to vaccine but IgM maybe negative or positive depending on time lapsed since vaccination. Anti-HBcAg will be negative and also HbS Ag will be negative.
Since its been 1 year and direct contact with their father who is currently undergoing treatment. Yes it can be done in your children again. The test must have three parameters - HBsAg, Anti-HBsAg and Anti-HBcAg.
Hope it helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.
