Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for your question Aidansmith.
Hope I can be of help for you today. Through reading your query I understand what you question. People experience tinnitus when you hear ringing, hissing roaring or buzzing in 1 or both ears. What is your experience? Many people can have this problem. It may last months or years and it can be annoying, but it is not usually a sign of a serious problem. If you hear ringing or other sounds that the people around you do not hear, see your doctor. He or she can run tests to make sure there is nothing seriously wrong with your ears. Lightheaded and dizziness when stand up is a sign of presyncope or low blood pressure. It may cause by cardiac disease. Or do you have any history of heart disease?
Do you take any medicine that cause your blood pressure to drop?If you have heart disease there also other associated symptoms such palpitation, chest discomfort, or dyspnea.
For my patient I would like to do more physical examination and taking the orthostatic blood pressure. It will let me know that if you get enough blood flow to your brain. One of the most common reasons this happens is called vasovagal syncope. But mostly it cause from fear or stress or pain. If you not drink enough water you also has these symptoms. So I encourage you to drink a lot of water a day to help you blood pressure back good. Do not drink alcohol.
Hope I have answered your query. If you do not have any clarifications, you can close the discussion and rate the answer. Wish your child good health. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Best regards,
Dr. Heang Chan Raksmey, General and Family Physician
