Yesterday Afternoon, While Driving, I Developed Tenderness, Pain In The
Question: Yesterday afternoon, while driving, I developed tenderness, pain in the center to left abdominal area, at beltline. Increasingly became more uncomfortable. Arrived home, at small meal, relaxed and symptoms increased, pain/tenderness increased. Felt like I was getting sick also- all joints, muscles felt horrible. Currently, 18 hours later- generally feel better but sharp pain exists with light contact.

Abdominal pain with muscle pain and generally feeling unwell may be due to a viral infection. The abdominal pain in the left can be due to the bowel being affected.
Generally, a viral infection is self-limiting and no specific treatment is needed but symptomatic treatment. Pain medications such as Acetaminophen may be used and Buscopan 10mg every 8 hours may ease bowel pain. Local warm compresses may help as well.
Meanwhile, make sure you eat and drink frequent small amounts of food and water and if you notice any new symptoms or any worsening you will need to have a visit.
