Yesterday Around Mid-afternoon I Experienced Tightening In My Abdomen Area.

Question: Yesterday around mid-afternoon I experienced tightening in my abdomen area. I had trouble sleeping due to the discomfort and when I woke up this morning it was about the same as it was yesterday. I am currently training in the gym and taking meal replacement shakes in the morning along with the skinny gal appetite suppressant tablets. I have been taking those for three weeks now with zero side effects. I have been using the bathroom frequently today and I have no sign of a fever. I'm actually perfectly fine if it weren't for my stomach pain.

by the naval and it is tender if I push on it.

I would rate my pain as a 7 due to the discomfort. I have been training for 4 weeks now. Weight loss training. aside from changing my entire diet I have not done anything differently. if I do move my body it's the same discomfort as I feel walking.

Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for the additional information.
Here are my thoughts:
Given that you have been training recently, for 4 weeks, and have no other symptoms (nausea, fever, malaise), it can be a muscular strain. Usually that will hurt more with use of the specific muscles though.
Given that you have been taking an appetite suppressant, and the pain is by the naval which can be the 1st part of the small intestines, a site that can get irritated from too much stomach acid, it might be gastritis/duodenitis. But that typically changes with eating or not eating.
So there are two things that concern me: you rate the pain as 7/10 and said it hurts more with walking. That can go with muscle strain, but it can also go with an early appendicitis, which often causes worse pain when the person walks. Usually appendicitis has worsening pain, and nausea and low grade fever. But not always.
So - I think you should go in and be checked out in person as it isn't getting better. It is most likely a muscle strain, but I have to err on the side of caution here so I recommend you go in to be seen.
