Changes in meniscus due to wear and tear.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
I have gone through your query and understand your health concerns ,
The changes in the MRI scan in the medial meniscus are likely to be related to wear and tear of the meniscus. This can cause an inflammation and thus the swelling at the back of the knee.
The best way to treat this is to give rest to the knee, avoid any stressful activities like squatting, jumping or climbing stairs. You can use an elastic knee brace for an extra support to the knee.
Continue with the anti inflammatory pain killers and a hot compress to reduce the pain and swelling. This should subside in 2-3 weeks. Adding joint lubricant supplements after consulting an orthopedician will also help.
I hope this answers your query.
