Brief Answer:
Have you had endoscopic biopsies?

Detailed Answer:
Hi Fmurphy,

I am sorry to hear about your distress. Have you had biopsies taken of your stomach, duodenum, and remaining small bowel during your endoscopies? It could be small bowel bacterial overgrowth, which can be treated by antibiotics. Or a type of malabsorption, e.g. celiac disease or Crohn's disease.

Hope this helps.

I was Dx with gluten sensitivity (antibody +, bx-, but had stopped gluten~ 10 days prior) ~ 5yrs ago. Not severe, i could still eat gluten occasionally without consequences. Recent EGD, no bx. Thanks

Brief Answer:
I suggest new EGD with biopsies

Detailed Answer:
Hi again,

I suggest you have a new EGD with mucosal biopsies. This is the best way to diagnose any malabsorption. If this is inconclusive, a capsule endoscopy could be the next step.

Hope this helps.
