Brief Answer:
Get done fresh PFT and chest x ray.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your question on Ask a doctor forum.
I can understand your concern.
By your history and description, possibility of acute worsening of asthma is more likely.
Better to consult pulmonologist in person and get done clinical examination of respiratory system, chest x ray and PFT (Pulmonary Function Test).
Chest x ray is needed to rule out lung infection.
PFT is needed to identify severity of asthma.
And treatment is based on severity only.
You may need ultra long acting inhaled bronchodilators and inhaled corticosteroid.
May I know
1.Chest X ray done?
2. PFT done?
3. Which asthma medication you are taking?
Please reply me answers of above asked questions so that I can guide you better. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
