Detailed Answer:
Hi
I have gone through your query and here is my response.
Generaly rhinosinusitis ang hypothyroidism are not related to each other. These conditios have different etiology and specific symptoms.
The leading cause of hypothyroidism is an autoimmune disease called Hashimoto's thyroiditis.
Allergies ,infections or aspirin hipersensitivity are the usual culpit for rhinosinusitis.
So,it is clear that the two underline conditions are different.
Anyway i can say that in rare cases , hormonal causes like hypothyroidism have been proven to cause nasal congestion and chronic rhinosinusitis.
This relationship may be suspected if the hypothyroid patient has chronic rhinosinusitis and we don't find any infectious, allergic /hipersensitivy cause to explain the rhinosinusitis.
In your case,i don't think there is a corelation between your hypothyroidism and your rhinosinusitis.
My advice is to consult physically an ENT doctor in your area, because it is very important find the right cause and than to have the right treatement for your rhinosinusitis.
In your case it can be an allergic cause in the basis because in these cases, the rhinosinusitis return back if you are in contact with the allergen. But this are the thinks that you should discuss with your treating ENT doc.
Hope this is helpful.
Take care.
