Question: as i was walking through the house i thought i stepped on a sticker or something bit me. but then both feet started tngling and felt like they were on fire. i have sharp shooting pain on the bottoms of both feet. i have tile floor and have had bunyans for awhile and theyve gotten worse lately. i cant wear shoes long at all before they start hurting. but i was barefoot when this happened. i was going to bed and just as i stepped on the tile floor was when this happened. nothing like this has ever happened before. i did have surgery to remove bunyans once about 40 years ago when i was in my 20%E2%80%99s. and no problems before now.
thank you for any help you can give me

Brief Answer:
There can be several causes, require further evaluation.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I have gone through your query and here is my advice.

As per your history, there can be several causes for that, but I think sudden sharp pain may be due to muscle sprain or pulled muscle.

Please let me know do you have fever, swelling over feet?

For further assessment, I would suggest you to consult with orthopedician for detailed clinical examination. He may procure complete hemogram, vit b 12 level, nerve conduction studies, MRI foot SOS as per evaluation.

Mean while, for pain you can take tablet motrin. Further treatment mainly depends upon the underlying condition. In case of swelling, keep leg elevated.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further...

No..I had no swelling at all and this pain and tingling sensation was on the bottoms of both feet. No fever. And the pain was much like when your hands or feet have been very cold and they begin to warm up only SO much worse! And btw cold feet was not the case either.
