Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query.

1. Verrucous hyperplasia is a pre-malignant condition and not a carcinoma. This means that it has the potential to progress to a cancer some time in the future but at present it is not. Do not rush into this surgery.

2. Verrucous carcinoma itself is uncommon but has an excellent prognosis and very high cure rate.

3. Usually the surgeon who does the biopsy operates and treats such lesions. Is there any specific reason that you are searching for another doctor?

4. Any of the specialists you have mentioned above can treat this, depending upon the exact location in the oral cavity.

5. If you upload close-up images, it will help decide. Also your demographic details will be useful. Besides regular surgery, laser and coblation are newer tools that may be used during surgery.

6. Any associated cause has to be treated and avoided. The possibility of a second lesion needs regular followups and vigilance for many years post treatment.

I hope that I have answered your query. If you have any further questions, I will be available to answer them.

Regards.

Thank you for following up.

1. Yes, Laser can be used as an additional tool during surgery.

2. Coblation is also a good cost effective tool instead of laser which is more expensive.
