Brief Answer:
Age related degenerative changes.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The osteophytic disc bulge at the level of C5-C6 is an age related degenerative change in the spine. The compression on the left side hemicord that it is causing is the reason of pain and weakness. To control the pain you can get anti inflammatory pain killers and oral muscle relaxants prescribed by your orthopedician. But to decrease the further progression of the problem, regular physiotherapy is the only treatment. This will help in maintaining the tone and flexibility of the neck muscles.
In case there is numbness and tingling sensations then taking methylcobalamin supplements can help.
I hope this answers your query.

Brief Answer:
Can help in severe cases.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
Mobi-c is an artificial disc. It helps in patients whose disc prolapse is associated with nerve root compression and surgical decompression is needed. It is better than fusion surgery. You can discuss regarding this option with your orthopedician and he can decide if you are a suitable candidate for this.
Hope my answer is helpful.
