I am not sure if it is downloading. it says"subcutaneoys edema present over buttocks. Edema deep to and superficial to the sacrococcygeal junction. T2 bright signal within the sacrococcygeal junction is consistent with nondisplaved fracture No displaced fracture visualized." Nondisplaced fracture sacrococcygeal junction with surrounding edema. What exactly does this mean. is this MRI language definitive? when can she start walking and doing more physically?

Brief Answer:
Small fracture of lower end of spine.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
As per the MRI report there is a small fracture of sacro coccygeal junction which is the lowermost tip of the spine. It has caused a local soft tissue swelling in the area. Since there is no displacement of the fracture she needs a bed rest for it to heal. This can take 6-8 weeks for complete healing. She can start with her normal activities after 6 weeks when she is pain free. She needs to avoid all the painful movements. Oral anti inflammatory pain killers will also help.
Hope my answer is helpful.
