Can You Provide Information To Regarding Primary HIV Infection Questions?
Question: Doctor, I have a few query regarding Primary HIV Infection.
1) how long after exposure does acute HIV(ARS) symptoms present its self? im getting conflicting information from the web, some say 2-4 weeks, others say 2-6 weeks and so on.
2) When the acute symptoms being, for how long do these symptoms usually last? again I am finding conflicting information on this. some say it usually last at least a week , some say 2 weeks and so on.
can you provide information to these questions? since you have treated HIV patients, id like your personal view on this matter too. Thank you

You should know that most of people can't know right away when they've been infected with HIV because some of them may have symptoms (usually flu like symptoms)within 2 to 6 weeks after the infection and usually could last a week or two. These 2 periods depends from the immunity response that can be different from person to person.Therefore is a different period of ARS presentation and how long these symptoms last and is not a standard period.
