Coughing Since End Of Oct. I Have Coughed So Much

Question: coughing since end of Oct. i have coughed so much my rib is out of place.
sore throat for past month
I tested negative for strep
I took a round of antibiotics but still have it all.
I cant get in ti see a ENT until next Tues
I have taken XXXXXXX strength Mucinex DM morning and night for the last 2.5 wks. Has helped with the cough but not throat.
What shoukd I do?

I can understand your concern and I am sorry for your situation.

It would be better to give me some more information such as your age,if you are a smoker or not,if you have any other diseases or if you take any other medications.

Probably this might be an allergic cough that last for such time and until you go to ORL specialist you can add in your current treatment antihistamines such as Telfast 180 mg once before sleeping .For the throat you can safely take painkillers such as paracetamol or ibrufen twice and you will feel better.
