Question: I am scheduled for a cystoscopy, but I am experiencing a genital herpes outbreak.
Can, and will they still perform the cystoscopy under these circumstances?

Thanks for your query .Based on the facts that you have posted you have been schedulled to undergo Cystoscopic Examination however you have active Genetel Herpes lesion .
It is safe to postpon the procedure till the lesion gets cured as it may risk the lesion to get transmitted upwords through urethra in to Bladder and upper Urinary tract .
Take Acyclovir 400 mg thrice daily for a week and later may go ahead for Cystoscopy.
