Hello,
I am Dr Mittal.
I have read your message.
I think I can help you.
The reports are suggestive of severe diabetes and dyslipidemia.
You are on insulin. This is a rapid acting insulin.
I think addition of a long acting insulin, like lantus would also help you.
Monitoring of sugars with a glucometer is a good option.
I would recommend regularly checking the sugars and maintaining a chart of sugars.
The update of the chart would actually help increase the dose of medicines gradually.
As for the dyslipidemia, I would recommend statins and fenofibrates. Medicines are available such as Atocor F, where a single tablet contains both the medicines. Initiation of such a medicine may help improve the lipids.
A strict diet control for sugars as well as the lipids is crucial to further control of the blood levels as is the exercise regime important. So you need to take care of both these non pharmacological measures too.
I have tried to keep it as simple as possible. Feel free to contact me if you need any further details.
Best of luck, Dr S Mittal

Hi.
Glad to receive your response.
The best source of vitamin D is sunlight.
However, you can always take supplements of vitamin D in the dose of 60000 Units.
These are usually taken once a week.
Brands like Calcerol, Tayo 60 K etc are available and you can choose any that is available easily in your area.
Best of luck, Dr S Mittal
