1. Then it is mostly granular pharyngitis.
2. This is normal lymphoid (tonsil like) tissue that is inflamed. It is very common.
3. A short course of an OTC (Over The Counter) anti-allergy medication and a mediated oral rinse/ gargle will settle this.
4. Other causes for dryness such as acid reflux, dehydration, dental issues, post nasal drip, mouth breathing and snoring should be ruled out.
