Question: for the past two weeks I've had pain in my throat, I went to my doctor and she said everything looked fine, no strep. I have no coughing or fever. I do have post nasal drip, could this be the reason?

Hii. Pain throat may be due to many causes like pharyngitis, tonsillitis,acid reflux or it may be due to post nasal drip coming from the sinuses. Post nasal drip also cause hawking sensation of the throat. You can start fluticasone nasal spray, antiallergic tablet, steam inhalation, betadine gargle. Start omeprazole tablet to decrease acid reflux which will increase the symptoms. Do a X ray paranasal sinuses to see the cause of post nasal drip if present. Review with reports.
