For The Past Two Weeks, Once Or Twice A Day,
Question: for the past two weeks, once or twice a day, normally in the late evening, I will get a dull pain in the middle of my back, that spreads to both sides of my upper sides of my back and then I have a time of burping and discomfort in the very middle of my chest. the burping is over and over and last night I took a gas x pill and it stopped, shortly thereafter. I had a salad for dinner. Life is a bit stressful that this time, however I'm not overwhelmed with anything. It seems to me to be digestive?
want to make certain it is not an emergency type of issue at hand.
thanks

Brief Answer:
Get an Upper GI endoscopy

Hi
As per your description,it looks like you may have Acid peptic disease.
Upper GI endoscopy will give a clue.Ultrasound abdomen is also helpful in diagnosing Lesions of Liver,Gall bladder, Pancreas,Kidneys etc.Get these 2 investigations by your doctor.
I prescribe Proton pump inhibitor like Rabeprazole along with Levosulpiride and Anti flatulent tablet containing Simethicone to my patients with similar complaints.
Please consult your doctor and proceed further.
Nothing to worry. It doesn't look like Emergency.
