Question: for the past week experienced fatigue, dull pain in the center of the chest that comes and goes, neck tired, stiffness in arms. sore throat feels like a lump in throat, tingling on face and arms, dizzy feeling, elevated blood pressure,. Had similar symptoms 4 years ago and had all tests done including stress echo and ct scan and lung function no issues found. Had a physical 2 years ago all was normal. I have scheduled a physical with a new doctor due to a job change l in 2 weeks. Wondering if I should wait for that or see the doctor sooner if possible and what the diagnosis might be

Brief Answer:
different possible causes

Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

The diagnosis considered for acute/recent onset symptoms is different from chronic symptoms (symptoms that last at least 6 weeks)

The most common cause for acute symptoms would be infection, usually a viral illness. Sometimes the exact nature of the virus is not clear.

Viral infections cause fatigue, joint or muscle pain, dizziness, can affect blood pressure as part of the body's stress response to illness, abnormal sensations such as the tingling.

Electrolyte disturbances can also cause these symptoms to occur eg issues with potassium, sodium , magnesium, calcium. Some electrolyte disturbances can occur due to inadequate fluid intake or increased loss eg increased urination, fever, vomiting or diarrhea

If the symptoms continue beyond the 6 week mark then chronic conditions would then be considered eg autoimmune disorders (eg RA, lupus, scleroderma), chronic infections, chronic illnesses such as liver, heart, kidney conditions (these are not common)

If the symptoms worsen in the next few days prior to your visit or become intolerable then you should be seen but there if is no change then you can consider waiting till this appointment time

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions

Brief Answer:
not based on symptoms but can check if remained concerned

Detailed Answer:
HI

It is understandable , with chest discomfort to be concerned the heart; but it is not usually associated with the sore throat, neck stiffness and the tingling

Severe heart disease can cause fatigue but this occurs in persons with severe heart failure, which would have been diagnosed. It is not a sudden onset condition, heart failure worsens over a period of years.

If you still concerned or if the chest discomfort worsens, then you can have an ECG done to look at the heart rate and rhythm

Brief Answer:
high blood pressure is usually silent

Detailed Answer:
HI

Typically hypertension is said to be silent, meaning that it is not associated with any symptoms.
Most persons are not aware that there blood pressure is high so the symptoms are not likely due to hypertension

In terms of anxiety, it is possible since anxiety can either worsen or cause different symptoms to occur.
It is one of the more common causes for chest discomfort
