Depends on the removal of wisdom tooth
Detailed Answer:
Hii first of all thank you for approaching us with your query. I read through your query and I suggest you to not to worry. The infected wisdom tooth have to be removed otherwise it can cause more damage to the fracture site. Rewiring depends on what angulation the wisdom tooth is placed in relation to fracture site. If it can be removed easily without much force rewiring may not be needed. But if in case while removing the tooth, too much of bone removal is needed(depends on angulation of the tooth) it may require rewiring because while removing the tooth it may destabilise the healing fracture wound in the bone. So I suggest you to take a appointmnent of another oral and maxillofacial surgeon and get it done(taking a second opinion is always good and I always suggest that). Usually its done under aneasthesia and medication will be administerd so you wont be having pain. I suggest if you have any xray of the infected wisdom tooth please sent attach it here., so that I can go through it and reach out to a proper solution. Hopeyou understood what I meant. Thank you and have a healthy day. Dr Rohit
