Brief Answer:
A possibility of severe microcytic anaemia due to iron deficiency worked up
Detailed Answer:
Hi! Welcome to Ask A doctor service.
Thanks for sharing your concerns with us. We will try to help you in the best way possible. First of all, it's sad to know what your daughter had been going through lately.
Based on the history you have shared, left-sided pain with the history of low blood counts needs to be worked under as severe anaemia can cause cardiac pain or flow murmur too due to decreased perfusion or increased cardiac load to compensate for the low haemoglobin.
The report as you said explained by haematologist suggests different sizes of blood cells and atypical cells may warrant further workups like with peripheral blood films and microscopy as well as if needed bone marrow aspiration too.
A strict follow up with haematologist, and replacement of blood if low and continuation of iron replacement may be needed. Any other evidence of blood loss or blood break down needs to be ruled out as well based on history or other work up.
Wishing her a speedy recovery.
Hope this has answered your query.
If you have any more questions please feel free to ask.
Regards
