Have Been Always Getting Anxiety Since Childhood. I Feel Every
Please provide me more details.
Detailed Answer:
Hello thanks for asking from HCM
I can understand your concern. The history you've mentioned suggest some underlying mood disturbance or some personality issue. Over sensitive nature, rejection sensitivity, emotional lability, crying spells etc are seen commonly in depression. Though this is not typical depression.
This should be properly evaluated. Please provide me more details.
You have mentioned that you have history of self harm. Could you please elaborate this. Is stress a triggering factor in self harm? Do you have motive of killing yourself in self harm or its just to seek attention?
Anxiety, mood swings are there. Do these symptoms have any relation with your stress of studies or not? Or when there is some fight with friend or any male friend then you become stressed?
Any history of symptoms like reduced energy, feeling fatigued through out the day, any symptoms like lack of interest or pleasure in anything, poor self care etc?
Do these symptoms remain persistent and are continuous or occur in episodes only?
Kindly elaborate the anxiety too. What kind of anxiety do you have? Any history of unwanted thoughts in your mind? Any restlessness, palpitations etc?
Please provide me details in follow up.
Thanks.
Such behaviour should be changed.
Detailed Answer:
Hello again
Thanks for providing details. After reading the detailed history what I can say is that you have some personality traits and these can be changed by behavioural modification. I don't think this history puts into any significant mood disorder like depressive disorders or some personality disorder.
If we take self harm episodes, self harm is seen commonly in individuals with borderline personality disorder and sometimes in depressive disorders. But in borderline personality disorder the individuals have dramatic behaviour. The self harm is done in order to seek attention of others. Mood lability is also seen commonly. Such individuals have rejection sensitivity (which to some extent you also have) but I don't think you have this problem.
In depressive disorders intent of self harm is to achieve real harm. Suicide is final motive and para suicidal behaviour is seen. You have some symptoms of depression which we can explain as co-morbid features of anxiety.
Now coming to what can be done?
First of all as you've mentioned already, you have to become more determined. You should have self respect and have full confidence. Its common in teens to show such behaviour but you should learn to change this. You every action should be directed with aim to prevent your ego hurt or to achieve relaxation.
For example when any friend fails to reply you, you immediately block him, delete his contact by impulsive action. But later you realise the mistake (?) and then you try to get contact number back. This causes a lot of hurt to your mind.
Now this can be taken in different manner too. If anyone fails to revert back then first thing that should come in mind is that, he must be busy or he must be having some other commitments or he is not at all responsible to reply to you or why are you bother if he is not replying you? This benefit of doubt will help in avoiding the impulsive action. If he replies then that is good and if he doesn't reply then you must not act impulsively. This reaction increases such behaviour in your friends and they take advantage of your behaviour. SO STOP REACTING IMPULSIVELY. Take your time and try to become indifferent to such incidents. Once you change your behaviour you will see change in behaviours of your friends too.
This will progressively help to reduce the anxiety too. You can follow relaxation exercises or yoga in order to stay relaxed.
THanks
I hope this helps, still have doubts please ask again
Try to learn to remain relaxed.

Hello again
YES, your each and every action should be directed towards betterment of your mind, ego so that this doesn't result in hurt of ego.
You should learn to control the impulsive actions. Just make a habit to delay the impulsive action. This will help in giving you some time to think and then you can avoid any wrong action.
Coming to your doubts.
Lithium is a medicine that is used in bipolar disorder mainly but has other uses too. Its not an anti anxiety drug. The drug you can't take without a proper prescription. The drug is not an addictive drug and is a safe to use drug. But I don't think you need this drug.
Shaking of leg could be part of anxiety. Follow a healthy lifestyle. Exercise daily and go for a morning or evening walk for at least half hour daily. Take high protein diet rich is complex carbs. Avoid excess fats and refined carbs.
Take diet rich in curd, milk, eggs etc.
You can take Vitamin B12 and D supplements this will help you a lot.
You are not suffering from any psychiatric disorder. But these impulsive behaviours should be controlled otherwise you might develop anxiety disorder or personality disorder.
Just make a habit to delay any excitement or impulsive action. This will help in making you a better person because you will have time to think.
24 is almost teenage considering XXXXXXX scenario and culture. But that doesn't mean that you have any disorder. Just remain relaxed.
Thanks.
Just follow these steps and you will remain confident.
