Hi,

Thanks for sharing your health concern with us.

I have gone through your query and would like to know if you are sexually active and are using any contraception.

If you are sexually active and not using any contraceptive, please get the pregnancy test done to clarify.

Transient hormone disturbance is another possible cause of the delay in the cycle. This can be caused by sudden weight changes, stress, infections and use of certain medications. This is corrected once the cause is removed.

If pregnancy is excluded, you may expect your cycle in a few days as you are experiencing premenstrual symptoms.

Hope your query has been clarified. Please feel free to contact for further information. I will be happy to help.

regards,
Shanti.V.

Not sexually active at all. How many more days should I expect my period in? Is there any serious cause for this that I should check for?

Brief Answer:
Please wait for a couple more days.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for writing back.

In the current scenario, I think you should be seeing your period in the next couple of days. If not, I suggest that you get a proper clinical evaluation followed by investigation if deemed necessary. In case of transient hormone disturbance, induction of the period using progesterone should suffice as a kickback.

Hope this helps. Please let me know if I can assist you further.

regards,
Shanti.V.
