Having Throat Pain Since 7 Days. Consulted ENT Specialist .
Question: having throat pain since 7 days. consulted ENT specialist. below is findings and medication prescribed.
physical examination
Acute Pharyngitis(+)
Treatment Plan/Notes
Medications:
Cap. Nexpro RD 40mg one cap (30 mins before food) once daily morning for 5 days (1-0-0)
Tab. Ceftum 250 mg one tab two times daily for 5 days (1-0-1)
Tab. Signoflam one tab two times daily for 5 days (1-0-1)
Syp. Piriton CS 10 ml two times daily for 5 days (1-0-1)
however after taking the above medication, developed rashes all over body, face has swollen . Not sure which of these medications had reaction but certainly I am scared to take any of them because already i am under medication for after heart attach with following medicines. Clopilet, Dytor, Cardance, Tzloc and Atrova.
Now the question is whether it is advised to take the medicine prescribed by ENT specialist. What is alternative medication i can have throat pain. Also any suggestion for overcoming irregular motioin.

Hii. As you are having throat pain and diagnosed with acute pharyngitis, please continue betadine gargle. Betadine gargle will reduce the infection. You can continue it for long. You can continue nexpro also as it will reduce the acid reflux and helps to resolve the inflammation. No need to continue antibiotic as it may cause rashes and allergic reaction. Continue with betadine gargle and nexpro. If it doesn't resolve with it within few days then you can start tablet augmentin after consulting a doctor. You can also send a throat swab for culture in the laboratory and follow up with that. Drink more water preferably warm liquid. Please review if you have any queries.
