Question: healthy male, 60yr
Having severe lower back pain, kidney/flank area, both sides (last 3 days). Can't hardly get out of bed or bend over. Not a back muscle strain.
Fear maybe internal- kidney (no urinary problems), appendix (had been no other problems), gall bladder (no digestive issues), cancer?

Based on the facts that you have posted the pain in both the loins that you have is mostly due to Kidney stone and needs to be investigated.

Consult qualified Urologist for clinical examination and get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis.
1) Urine routine and culture.
2) Ultrasound scanning of abdomen and pelvis
3) C T Scan of abdomen plain and with I V Contrast .

.Further treatment will depend upon result of these tests and final diagnosis.

So what do you do for severe pain in the mean time?
just aspirin?, exercise? home remedies? cranberry juice?
