Hi Rocaricos82,
Thanks for the query I understand your concern.
The history of sex in question ,followed by overstrain, exposure to rains followed by 100degrees temperature...without any other symptom&went away the next mornig..It seems to be due to excess stress & drenching in rain water....
I don't think it has any relation with Covid infection.
please keep a watch for resiratery, urine, joint complaints or excessive weakness...consult your family physician..in case it's there.
* please take comparative rest .Drink lot of warm water. Eat light nutritious food.
In case of any specific complaint..these days ...please let me know
Another thing, your passing remark of some bad habit...please let me know about it..
just for possible correlation with the incidence &any change in care that may be advised for.
I hope that helps.
Any follow up query is welcome
Thanks

Detailed Answer:
Hi Rocaricos82,
Thanks for the follow up query.
You don't mention any of the symptom..that would suggest Sti/STDs at present.
STD suggestive symptoms are ...
- Fever with burning/painful urination.
-Itching with white discharge or wart like growths on genital/purulent or blood stained discharge with pain in pelvis, painful sex.
-Bumps,warts,sores on genitals with discharge(suggested above)
So I would suggest to check with your doctor if you get any of above symptoms.
A Gentle advise is to get through check up to find/exclude any of STDs &then be careful while having sex with unknown partner.OR try to get rid of the habit..(which you know is not very good)...it would be better choice than to have concern/tension of catching infection...Hope you don't take it wrong.
I think that satisfies you. Any follow up query is welcome.
Thanks.

Lol no I don’t take it the wrong way. I don’t have a habit of having unprotected sex. This was a rare occasion. I have a habit of trying to use google to self diagnose and that can cause anxiety. It just concerned me when I got a mild fever 2 days after sex and the working out the in a crowded area. Upon using google, I saw a lot of possible things ranging from the flu to HIV so of course I got overly nervous. But thank you for your responses. They definitely eased my mind and I will be much more careful in the future.

After rereading my question, I don’t think I was clear enough. Essentially, I would like to know if the fever of 99.6 degrees and night sweats I experienced 2 days after the unprotected sex and heavy exercise out doors around people (with NO chills, body aches, swollen lymph nodes, or pain when I swallow) is more likely attributed to mild flu or early acute HIV. The fever lasted for less than 24 hrs. It has been 3 weeks since and I HAVE NOT had any reoccurring fever, chills, fatigue, anything like that. Just an annoying post nasal drip. I hope that is concise. Thank you for your help

Detailed answer below.
Detailed Answer:
Hi Rocarico82,
Thanks for the follow up query.
* Mostly the fever is first symptom of HIV infection..You are right to doubt it...but I did not...as-
- The fever is mostly flue like with chills/symptoms of body&muscle aches/sore throat/fatigue,weakness,/ lymphnode enlargement,/skin rashes...which you did not have.
-Fever takes 2-4 weeks time to appear..it's not
known to appear within 2days of exposure to Hiv .
Inspite of that, I had advised for getting investigated for STDs (without specifically mentioning HIV..)for risk of giving you unnecessary psychological stress.
* Your post nasal drip (with no history of upper respiratory tract infection with fever)..is still existing.
Is it associated with lymph glands?
Even if it is so..it can be long standing sinus infection..due to the rain exposure.
BUT...in case of doubt..you should get HIV antibody testing done to screen the possible infection.
*Please consult a std specialist doctor..a detailed physical check up&needful screening test would exclude /find the possibility.
I hope that satisfies you. Any follow up query is welcome.
Thanks

Thank you for your detailed answer. It does calm me down lol. As far as the post nasal drip, it’s not associated with any swollen lymph nodes. Just throat clearing and throat tickle w/ occasional cough. Mucinex helps. No soreness of throat. I will get an STD screening. Thank you again.

Hi Rocaricos 82,
Thanks for the feed back.
The post nasal drip is mostly allergic in origin.Allergen irritates mucus membrane to cause reactive mucus secretion.
If simple gargling with hot saline, vapor inhalation ,avoiding exposure to known allergens do not relieve...I would suggest expert check up &investigations as per need.. by anAllergy specialist.
Thanks.
