1)No its not like fits just unconscious faint. 2)No 3)No brain imaging ,please let me know what are tests need to perform
Brief Answer:
Vasovagal syncope
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for being in follow-up.
Your brother appears to lose consciousness due to over-reaction of the body to specific triggers. This is likely to be vasovagal syncope. The tests which may be done are routine blood investigations,ECG to look for abnormal rhythm and preferably holter monitoring may be done. Tilt table test and BP assessment for postural hypotension should be done as well. Occasionally, in cases of syncope, brain MRI may also show abnormalities. Sometimes syncope may be confused with seizures and electroencephalogram(EEG) may be helpful in those cases. If it indeed turns out to be a vasovagal syncope, then the treatment would be to avoid specific trigger factors. Wearing compression stockings and taking a good amount of fluids might also help.
Further, I would like to know that for how long he remains unconscious? and once he regains consciousness, is he confused or having a normal sensorium?
If you have any further questions, I shall be glad to have you in follow-up.

Brief Answer:
ECG, Blood tests, Tilt table test
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for being in follow-up.
With your history of short duration of unconsciousness, it is likely to be syncope. He should be tested by a doctor for fall in BP from lying down to standing position. This way testing is done for postural hypotension. Also, hemogram, blood sugar, serum electrolytes, holter and tilt table tests should be done.
Hope that helps. If you have any further questions,I shall be glad to have you in follow-up.
