Hello , I Have Nasal , Sinus Pain And Bleeding

Question: hello , I have nasal , sinus pain and bleeding

Also I have Blurring and pain of the eyes, Dizziness and some time ear pain .
Brief Answer:
Nasal bleed due to dryness of the nose...
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for posting the query
I have gone through the history and I am of the opinion that you are having nasal bleed due to the dryness of the nose following the medications.
The nasal pain is again due to dryness of the nose. Following the nasal bleed many do have dizziness and headache. This is the common presentation during the nasal bleed.
Drying of the nasal mucosa secondary to the steroid nasal spray and hypertonic saline causes the mucosa to crack and discharging of the blood. The dry mucosa irritates the sensitive nerves giving rise to headache and nasal pain.
Do not worry! With appropriate measures and medications, you would be better.
1. Drink frequent sips of water. This hydrates the nasal mucosa and prevents nasal bleed.
2. Avoid using hypertonic nasal saline, instead use isotonic nasal saline and use it as and when required at least 5-6 times a day.
3. Avoid nose picking.
4. Avoid sleeping right in front of the AC/in front of the fan.
5. Avoid dry and hot places
6. Avoid smoking and coffee for some time, if any.
7. Use Saline Nasal Gel, if available at your place. This would soothe the dry nasal mucosa and prevent further bleeds.
Hope this answers your query; revert back to me if you have any further queries.

Brief Answer:
Kindly avoid those medications, if your problems are nasal bleed only
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing back
Rhinocort is a nasal steroid given to control the nasal allergy. Hypertonic saline is to reduce the congestion inside the nose.
If your problems are related to the nasal bleed as such and no symptoms of allergy, then, the medications have to be revised.
You would require an isotonic saline nasal spray with a saline nasal gel for moisturizing the nasal mucosa. If the symptoms do not improve, then, you would require a Diagnostic Nasal Endoscopy followed by a CT scan of the paranasal sinuses, if required.
Hope this clarifies your doubts. Wish you good health.
