Brief Answer:
Breast feed should continue...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Current national recommendation states that infants under 6 months should be exclusively breastfed. 7kg at 5 months is good enough weight. May I know why you feel breast feed is not sufficient?
Many infants don't accept formula milk / topup milk easily after being on exclusive breast feed.

If the mother has insufficient or no breast milk, we may start semi-solid feeds in the form of mashed apples, potatoes and gradually mashed rice / porridge and so on.

In the nutshell, if the child is satisfied after every feed, is active and playful, there doesn't seem to be insufficient feeding and you may wait for another month to start weaning foods in the form of aforementioned food products.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you need clarifications.

Regards
