Question: hello hello my momis 70 years old now and in October 2019 she had echo test where reports came

1. Left ventricle chamber is thickened . Mid and Apical anterior wallAnd XXXXXXX mildly hypokinetic and Jerky septal motion. Left ventricle ejection fraction Is 43 %

2. Mitral valve is thickened And Sclerotic. Normal mobility of Mitral leaflets.

After this the doctor prescribed her few medicine which are as follows

1. Echosporin
2. Cipla R
3. Dytor

After having this medicine and after 1 month she again had echo test where her left ventricle ejection fraction came 55% means little improvement

But I don’t know whether these medicines for her is good or not

In fact we don’t know what problem she has means is she having heart failure or what ?

As when we asked the doctor he only said I am giving these medicines because her valve is thickened so by taking medicine blood will get thin and will move calmly from heart but did not told about future issue and possibilities And lifespan like how many days more she can survive and I am worried and still don’t know why doctor did not clear up the all things related to whether she’s having heart failure or not ?

Please help me what she’s going through though she is active women and take care of household still actively

Brief Answer:
Treatment is in the right track.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
I have gone through the echo report.
There is some decline in the pumping action of heart along with thickening of heart chamber and valve. It is quite common among individuals above sixty and is arising out of age related wear and tear. There is no signs of heart failure or life threatening problems.
Nothing much to worry and your treatment is in the right track. The aspirin is a blood thinner and it protects her from future heart attack and stroke.
As of now she can continue her routines. Nothing much to worry and no need to think about remaining days!!
Hope I have answered your query.
Thanks

Thank you and last I want to know for how many days she has to take these medicine and will these medicine improve the daily wear tear of heart ?

Can this lead and change to heart failure in future as well?

I heard these medicine has side effects on other organs like kidney or liver of the body

Can these medicine cause damage or injury to liver or kidney?

Life long treatment may be needed.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
These are widely prescribed drug and side effects are minimal when compared to the beneficial effects.
It will not cure the already developed changes, but it will definitely arrest the progression of the disease.
