You may try a 2% ketoconazole based shampoo initially. Shampoo every alternate days or daily depending on the severity of dandruff. If that doesn't give you expected relief you may use a coal tar and salicylic acid based shampoo along with a moderately potent topical steroid lotion e.g mometasone furoate 0.1% or betamethasone dipropionate 0.05% lotion at night for a few days.
