Brief Answer:
Please see the detailed answer below.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for the query. Dandruff affects almost every people in their lifetime. An itchy scalp and flakiness are the main signs of this condition. The growth of fungus named malassezia which lives on scalp can cause dandruff. Dry skin, seborrheic dermatitis, sensitivity to hair products etc may develop dandruff too.

For removing dandruff, you should gently use a comb to remove loose flakes and then wash your hair with medicated shampoo. Medicated shampoo like ketoconazole enriched or selenium containing shampoo can be used for removing dandruff. Use a medicated shampoo twice a week on your hair. If one shampoo doesn't work, try another one.

Wash your hair with water first and then leave the medicated shampoo on scalp for 5-10 minutes and after that wash the shampoo with water or follow the instructions on the container. Use that medicated shampoo for 1-2 months.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
