Detailed answers to your questions below
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to 'Ask A Doctor' service,
I carefully read your query and understand your concern.
1. Generally, when lymph nodes are enlarged, conditions like infection or tumors are considered as the cause. Rubbing the lymph node is not known to cause enlarged lymph nodes.
2. ARS- is acute retroviral syndrome- which means there are several possible symptoms such as fever (in more than 90% of the cases), lymph nodes, sore throat, headaches, rash, body pains, and many other symptoms. So, there are several symptoms that may happen at the same time.
3. The time from infection with HIV till ARS is 2-6 weeks
4. ARS lymph nodes may be tender to touch
5. Symptoms of ARS may last an average of 2 weeks but in some patients, it may be a few days, and in others a few weeks.
I hope this answers your query.
I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.
Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj,
