Hello, I Went To The Dermatologist Today For The Pictures
Question: hello, i went to the dermatologist today for the pictures below, and she told me that this could be sarcoidosis and she gave me this lotion with halobetasol propianate and tazarotene. she said if it doesnt go away in 4 weeks then we can do a biopsy but she told me not to worry about this, it was nothing serious.
ive had this for years i just want a second opinion. I have no pain but it itches sometimes if i scratch it. im very worried even though the dermatologist told me not to worry but i suffer from anxiety so its almost imposible not to worry.
please help!

Brief Answer:
Not a cause for concern
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for using the Ask a Doctor service.
I have gone carefully through the query and have checked the attached images. The first thing that I need to ask you is whether it is bothering you. Unless it is problematic for you there is no reason to worry. It could be sarcoidosis but sarcoidosis is not something dangerous like cancer. They are usually slow growing and surgical intervention is not needed unless it impedes regular bodily functions. It is only then that you need to get the biopsy done.
